Psychology’s famous personality theories are famous in part because of their answers to ultimate questions. The major personality theories reflect the theorists' worldview assumptions about the nature of Mankind. What is the nature of personality? Where does personality come from? What purpose does personality serve? These are worldview level questions. Is personality learned patterns of behavior? Is it formed of unconscious psychic forces, did it evolve to solve problems of living during the Pleistocene Epoch, or is it a part of our divine essence bestowed on us by our Creator? You know what I think.
