Psychology: A Christian Perspective live online with Dr. Tim Rice. Registration is now open.

Classes begin the week of January 27, 2013. Email tim@homeschoolpsych.com to register for classes or to attend an orientation session.

If you went to college, you probably took an introductory Psychology class - Psych 101. If your children go to college, they will probably take one too. But for students today, Psychology class is very different than it was for their parents - way back when. Today, students taking Psychology do so at a time predicted by Charles Darwin in the final chapter of The Origin of Species.

Darwin predicted: "In the distant future I see open fields for far more important research. Psychology will be based on a new foundation, that of the necessary acquirement of each mental power and capacity by gradation. Light will be thrown on the origin of man and his history."

That is bold. That is the state of modern psychology today.

In his online classes, Dr. Tim Rice introduces students to the study of Psychology from a distinctly Christian perspective. Students will learn how Evolution replaced Freud, Behaviorism, and Humanism as Psychology's dominant worldview and why the Christian worldview is a more logical, internally consistent, and meaningful paradigm for understanding the big questions about the Mind.

After all, it is God's grandest creation.

Spring semester classes begin the week of January 20, 2014. Orientation/introduction sessions are:

During the orientation sessions we walk through the features of JigSaw and I explain what I mean by a “Christian perspective” and how this psychology class differs from others. It is not mandatory, but it is helpful.

What other students are saying:

Hello Tim, my daughter Rebecca took a class online with you over a year ago. We have another daughter that may be interested in the class.

I love the class, It's so interesting!

Well I am duel-enrolled at Chat Tech and am taking PSYC1101. If I hadn't take your course last year I would be so lost in this class right now. We covered everything that is basically the first two chapters of my text book. Thanks to your course I went in with a good idea on the major contributors to psychology (which is what the entire first chapter of my text book is about) and the different types or views of psychology (second chapter in my book).

… please know that if I hadn't been introduced to this stuff then, I would be in alot of trouble now.
