I was asked today about my credentials (or lack thereof – depending on your perspective). What is my doctorate in, where did I go to school, and how many times have I been published in reputable scientific journals?
I majored in Psychology at the University of Georgia in the early 80s. I was there when UGA won the National Football Championship. I went there for four years, but didn’t graduate.
After Tina and I married, I completed my B.S. in Psychology at the University of Montana at Bozeman. It was known as Montana State University at the time.
In 2001 I received a Masters of Public Administration degree from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
In 2007 I was awarded a Doctorate in Family Counseling at Amridge University. It was called Region’s University when I graduated and Southern Christian University when I enrolled. My emphasis was Professional Counseling. My dissertation was about Christian attitudes toward psychology. Homeschool Psych: Preparing Christian Homeschool Students for Psychology 101, has roots in my dissertation.
I’m licensed by the State of Georgia as a professional counselor.
I have never been published in a scientific journal; reputable or otherwise.
