Outcome research in counseling psychology

Outcome research
in counseling psychology suggests that the most important factor in positive outcomes isn’t the counseling technique, the
counselor’s education or experience, and it isn't medication. The single most
important factor is the hurting person’s
perception that the counselor is caring, concerned, and supportive. That sounds
like 1 Thes 5:11 to me.
